IT Manager
Tell us a little about yourself.
I am the IT Manager for Woking. My team cover support for the Woking Headquarters, the Paris Office, and other remote European users. I report to the Group IT Director.
Before Joining Intec, I worked for three years in the MIS department of another software company, as helpdesk administrator. I joined Intec in October 1997, as a Customer Services Representative.
The company and its people have changed over the past 12 years in terms of growth and changing faces; however, the goal, focus and passion have remained the same.
My life at Intec has always been interesting and challenging. Experiencing the growth of a newly-formed company into this amazing company that has achieved so much makes me proud to have been part of it.
I have been offered many opportunities along the way, and have worked my way through several IT roles. I have been in the position of IT Manager for two years now and, I’m finding the experience very fulfilling.
I have five children aged 1 to 21, and I joined Intec when my fourth child was just four months old. Although it was a difficult decision to cut short my maternity leave from my previous company in order to start with Intec, I am so glad that I didn’t turn down the opportunity.
Why did you join Intec?
I applied for the job whilst I was on maternity leave and had no real intention of accepting the position if I was offered. However, I changed my mind during my interview, as I found the products and the potential of the company a really interesting prospect, and it has certainly been an enjoyable adventure.
What is the culture like where you work?
It’s a professional, yet relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Working with enthusiastic and talented people in a global working environment.
What would you tell someone who was considering applying for a position at Intec?
If you want to be part of a successful global company, with strong values and a commitment to its customers and its staff, then a position at Intec may be for you.
